A player’s age is determined as of December 31st of the playing year; Mighty Mites must turn 7 prior to August 1st, but may not turn 9 prior to December 31st. All Children playing Tackle Football must attend sign-ups to be weighed. The CTYFL has mandatory weight and age rules. NO child outside of the weights and ages listed above is eligible to play. Birth Certificates are required for all Children playing and all “A” Squad players must submit a copy of their 4th term report card indicating that they will not be attending High School during the playing year. Any Child who falls outside the weight limit of his/her Tackle Division will be allowed to move up one division provided they are not overweight in that division as well. Children interested in Cheerleading must attend sign-ups to be measured for outfits. **Cheerleaders are not bound by weight restrictions. ***Flag Football will continue to be an in-town league. It remains unchanged from years past. Please visit us on the web for all up to the minute information.
The league is looking for coaches for Football and cheer, if you are interested please fill out an application. Applications are available under "documents". Contact Brian for football or Cheer contact Jolynn
The league is also looking for volunteers to help the season run smoothly. if you interested please contact Craig @cox.net
Chin Strap (if player requires/desires)
Game Jerseys (Home/Away)
Knee Pads (if player requires)
The Parents/Players must provide:
Girdle (I recommend the integrated pad variety; if not, the player must have their own thigh pads/hip pads/tail pad to place in the stand/alone variety of girdle)
Athletic Supporter (Cup)
Mouth Guard (required/must be a color other than white or clear/transparent)
Practice Jersey (most coaches say one of Dad's old T-shirts is fine but I find those tend to rip easily)
socks (practice and game - game socks must be white/length does not matter)
